24-Hour Outage System ( 770-775-7857)
A special automated outage system is available to help speed up outage reporting and provide you with any outage information that is known at the time of your call.

Emergency Service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year by calling (770) 775-7857.
Special Needs
Members with special medical needs will be given priority, concurrent with normal power restoration efforts, when offical notification has been provided to the cooperative. We will send you an application for you and your physician to fill in and return. CGEMC will keep this information in our account records. CGEMC cannot guarantee that electric service will never be interrupted and recommends that you have a back-up plan in place.
Cable Location Service
If you need cable location information on CGEMC's underground electric facilities (up to the meter), please call (770) 775-7857 at least 48 hours prior to digging (and no more than 10 working days).
Call Before You Dig ( Georgia Utilities Protection Service)
Georgia law requires anyone with plans to dig to submit a request to the Utilities Protection Service at least 48 hours in advance. The 48 hours begins on the next business day after your request. Call the GUPS at (800) 282-7411.
When you call, be ready to give your address, the municipality, the extent of work, name, and contact address and phone numbers. Wait for the site to be marked before digging.
Utilities will mark their facilities with colored flags or paint. The colors indicate the utility located. Red indicates ELECTRIC, Yellow indicates GAS, Blue indicates WATER, Orange indicates COMMUNICATION (telephone, cable, etc.), and Green indicates Sewer.

The CGEMC office is located approximately 55 miles south of Atlanta and 45 miles north of Macon off Interstate 75 in Jackson, Georgia
- Exit 201 from I-75 onto Hwy 36 east; CGEMC will be on the right just before entering downtown Jackson
- Exit 205 from I-75 onto Hwy 16; go approximately 8 miles till you reach Jackson; at the 3rd stoplight take a right and CGEMC will be on the left after 3/4 mile
