Welcome to the New Service Center
Central Georgia EMC is a not-for-profit electric corporation, also known as a Cooperative. When you apply for service and pay the $5 membership fee, you become a member of Central Georgia EMC.
Electric service connection is provided by the next day on existing accounts (except weekends and holidays). If you apply for service to a location that has never before had electricity, such as a new home or business, we encourage you to apply as far in advance as possible. Applying in advance will ensure adequate preparation time for our engineering and operations departments and help prevent last minute delays.
Central Georgia EMC offers our new members a choice in what type of bill you will receive.
Avoid the deposit (if required) by selecting Prepay billing. Prepay Metering allows you to monitor and check your consumption on a daily basis to better manage your usage. Receive notifications through text, email, or by phone concerning your daily or low balance amounts. Payments can be made using our automated payment system over the phone, by texting your payment, on the internet via our Customer Portal website, and through the Central Georgia EMC mobile app. Any way you pay, you have the convenience of having 24-hour access to these payment methods.
Deposit amount based on credit inquiry. Central Georgia EMC reads the meter on a daily basis and posts a bill on a monthly basis. A bill is mailed or delivered electronically to your email. In the event that the current monthly bill is not paid on or before the due date, the gross rate shall be 5% higher. Payments can be made using our automated payment system over the phone, on the internet via our website, and through the Central Georgia EMC mobile app. No matter what method you choose, you have the convenience of 24-hour access to these payment methods.
