CGEMC Educational Programs & Demonstrations

Central Georgia EMC is proud to support schools and community organizations with free educational programs about electricity, energy safety, careers, and conservation. Our interactive presentations and demonstrations are designed to engage students, promote STEM learning, and inspire the next generation of leaders in the energy industry.

Bucket Truck Demonstrations & STEM Activities

Elementary students love our bucket truck demonstrations, where they can see lineworkers in action. Presentations also include fun STEM challenges like the egg drop experiment, connecting science and engineering concepts to the real world.

Safety Town: Teaching Electrical Safety

Our Safety Town presentation helps students learn how to stay safe around electricity through real-life scenarios. Topics include:

  • What to do during a lightning storm
  • How to respond to downed power lines
  • Why birds can safely sit on wires
Career Days: Exploring Energy Careers

CGEMC team members participate in local school career days to share a variety of career paths in the energy industry, from engineering to linework.

Meeting Facilities

CGEMC also provides low-cost use of our meeting facilities to local nonprofit organizations offering support to the valuable work they do. We can accommodate groups with up to 2,000 guests. Contact marketing@cgemc.com to request more information.
