Central Georgia EMC partnered with Conexon Connect to bring high-speed, affordable internet service to our members. This transformative broadband project launched in January 2022 and was successfully completed in June 2025, delivering world-class connectivity across our service area.
Conexon Connect specializes in working with electric cooperatives, building fiber-to-the-home networks that utilize the co-op’s existing electric infrastructure. This approach ensures reliable, cost-effective internet service for rural communities—bridging the digital divide and empowering local residents, businesses, and students.

Spanning more than 3,400 miles and completed in less than four years, the all-fiber network reportedly provides reliable, high-speed internet access to every Central Georgia EMC member, delivering an advanced internet experience to homes and businesses in Bibb, Butts, Clayton, Fayette, Henry, Jasper, Jones, Lamar, Monroe, Morgan, Newton, Pike, Putnam, and Spalding counties.
