The Georgia Public Service Commission recently released the Winter 2020 Residential Rate Survey. The survey contains results for the ninety-four electric providers in Georgia, including all EMCs, municipalities, and Georgia Power, based on the total electric bill amounts for 2,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh), 1,500 kWh, 1,000 kWh, and 500 kWh.
Central Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (CGEMC) ranked as the second-lowest cost electric provider in the state at the 2,000 kWh level and third-lowest at the 1,500 kWh level. The average CGEMC customer-owner uses approximately 1,500 kWh per month allowing them to enjoy the low rates for their energy dollars.
“We understand that every dollar matters to CGEMC customer-owners,” says Central Georgia EMC President/CEO George L. Weaver. “As a local, not-for-profit electric cooperative, we are committed to providing reliable service at an affordable cost.”
