Central Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (CGEMC) held its 84th Annual Meeting of Members at the Central Georgia EMC Annex Building in Butts County, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
This year's meeting was held in a drive-thru format. The 706 members in attendance remained in their vehicles for the duration of their visit to the CGEMC campus.
Members in attendance received an Annual Meeting bucket, stocked with a variety of gifts, including breakfast treats and a $25 bill credit.
At 10 a.m., Mr. Arthur White Jr., Chairman of the Board, called the meeting to order. He then announced the required quorum of members were registered to conduct business, and signaled the closure of registration and voting.
CGEMC President/CEO George L. Weaver presented the consent agenda, which was approved as presented.
Mr. Phillip B. Ham Jr., representing Monroe and Bibb counties, and Mr. D.T. Hamil, representing Spalding, Lamar, and Pike counties (Post No. 1), each of whom were unopposed, were reelected to the Board of Directors for a three-year term.
Three candidates qualified to represent Butts County. Attending members elected Mr. Rod Mangham as the Butts County Director.
Upon the meeting's conclusion, there was one grand-prize drawing for a $1,500 Amazon gift card. The winner was Mr. Raymond Rogers of Jackson.
