CGEMC's Commitment to Low Rates

All News

The Georgia Public Service Commission recently released the Winter 2019 Residential Rate Survey. The survey contains results for the ninety-four electric providers in Georgia including all EMCs, municipalities, and Georgia Power based on the total electric bill amounts for 2,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh), 1,500 kWh, 1,000 kWh, and 500 kWh.

Central Georgia Electric Membership Corporation (CGEMC) ranked as the third lowest cost electric provider in the state at both the 2,000 kWh and 1,500 kWh levels. CGEMC residential customer-owners use approximately 1,500 kWh, saving an average of $37.34 during each winter month when compared to the state average.

“We understand that every dollar matters to CGEMC customer-owners,” says Central Georgia EMC President/CEO George L. Weaver. “As a local, not-for-profit electric cooperative, we are committed to providing reliable service at an affordable cost.”
