The Christian Women’s Center received a $1,122 grant from the Central Georgia EMC Foundation to purchase a clothes washer and a cooking range for their center that provides refuge for young women in crisis. 

The 12-month discipleship program offers healthy support and healing guidance for abuse, prostitution, neglect, homelessness or any combination resulting from drug or alcohol addiction.  The women are receive trauma counseling, group addictions counseling, career readiness classes, health and dental screenings, parenting instruction, life skills, and opportunities to volunteer.
