Jackson High School Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) received a grant for $1,000 from the Central Georgia EMC Foundation to help offset the costs of sending students to the FCCLA National Leadership Conference.
“Attending the conference last year taught me time management skills,” said Chapter Leader Lauren Maddox. “Also, the speakers were very inspirational, encouraging us to push through failures and keep moving forward.”
The students attending the conference, held in Anaheim, CA, will participate in workshops and leadership sessions, designed to prepare them to lead their local FCCLA chapter in competitive events, volunteering, and community service.
