Project Linus received a grant for $1,000 from the Central Georgia EMC Foundation to purchase blanket supplies.
"We are always appreciative of the support of CGEMC Foundation participants," said Project Linus Chapter Coordinator Denise Varnadoe. "These funds purchase the supplies our ‘Blanketeers' need to help our mission thrive."
Crafted by volunteers, these handmade blankets bring love, a sense of security, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.
Project Linus serves seven counties and has delivered over 32,000 blankets since 2002 to pediatric units, fire departments, police departments, EMS, DFACS, shelters, and children's homes.
