United in Pink, Inc. received $1,000 in grant money from the Central Georgia EMC Operation Round Up Foundation.
The funds will be used for their Strongbox Program. The program is a physical outreach for families that includes delivering meals when a survivor is in treatment, providing gas cards for transportation to get to and from treatments, providing wigs and prosthetic items. Through this program, strong support relationships are built with the families.
United in Pink, Inc. is committed to enhancing the quality of life for breast cancer survivors and their families by addressing their unique physical, psychological, relational, and educational needs. They offer programs and services to over 550 families in 30 counties throughout Central Georgia including Bibb, Butts, Fayette, Jasper, Jones, Lamar, Monroe, Putnam, and Spalding.
